Check Your Heart

A few months ago at church the topic (twice) was "Check Your Heart".  AWESOME word to live by. The song that comes to mind when I reflect back to the sermon is "Give Me a Clean Heart" by Fred Hammond. This song sums up the whole sermon.  Take a listen and be blessed! God Loves You!

I WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW!!!

I love this song by Desiree Coleman Jackson.  She expresses how she wants to world to know, and she's not ashamed of the God in her and how once you get into His presence, He'll definitely change you.

I AGREE! I want the world to see the God in me and I will NOT be ashamed to let anyone know.

"For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” - Mark 8:38

This is only a snippet, but you'll recieve enough through it!

Come Up Higher!

God told John in Revelation 4:1 to come up higher so that he could get a better perspective.

God consciousness and spiritual sight are required to pray from God's perspective. You must see situations and people as God sees them, or else your prayers may actually be working against God's designs rather than in accordance with them.

When you stand praying, practice staying seated in the heavenly realm — in Christ — so that you can attest to the movements of the adversary and stand in the gap for those who are yet to understand the true nature of the things of the Spirit.

When you can see the landscape and territories as God sees them — when you can see the strategic layout of God's plan —then your prayers take on a potency and intensity that annihilate satanic entrenchments. (The Art of War, p. 113.)

To get a God's-eye view, spend time this week meditating on God's Word. I urge you to practice keeping heaven's perspective as you go about your daily affairs — doing this will bring the power of precision to your prayers.

Galatians 5:1 CEB: Christ has set us free for freedom. Therefore stand firm and don't submit to the bondage
of slavery again.

The Perfect Man!! (How can a woman not love the lord?)

I recieved this email today and thought it was AWESOME.  It was right on point to what my pastors sermon was referring to yesterday.....the love of GOD and falling in love with HIM.

HOW CAN A WOMAN NOT LOVE THE LORD?

He is a gentleman,

He is confident

He is a provider and protector

He is rich and powerful

He owns everything; there is nothing He wouldn't do for me

He perfects all things concerning me

He anticipates my wants and needs

Every day He tells me and shows me how much He loves me

I don't have to perform in order to earn His love

He keeps all of his promises

No one can influence His opinion of  me

He is the ultimate intimate partner

He can't 'disown' me because I am a part of Him

He prepares a table before me
He covers me and doesn't expose me

He wrote His loving words down so that I'll never forget how He feels about me!

NOW THAT'S LOVE!!!

Any man, who wants pointers on how to love a woman, should study GOD!

Wake up every day and thank God for being the best 'man' in your life!

Each and everyone of us is going through tough times right now, but God is getting ready to bless us in a way that only He can.

Keep the faith !

This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue to pray for one another.

The Prayer :

Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those I care deeply for, who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit , I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment.

Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy.

Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace.

Where there is a need, I ask you to fulfill their needs.

Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings.

In Jesus' precious name, Amen...

If God said it....You Write It!

http://www.publicdomainpictures.net/view-image.php?image=12367&picture=writing

Have you ever had a vision or dream that you thought that was just out of this world? If so, did you write it down or just think "this isn't going to happen"?  I'm guilty of both.  I have had many visions that I didn't write down only becuase I thought "that would be nice, but let me be real with myselft, it's not going to happen".  I just spoke death over a possible vision God gave me because of my little faith and fear.

Habakkuk 2:2-3
2 Then the LORD answered me and said:
     “ Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
       3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not
lie.
      Though it tarries, wait for it;
      Because it will surely come,
      It will not tarry.

God plainly says in these two scriptures to write down the visions He gives to you.  Once you write it down, continue to pray sincere prayers over the vision and watch God work. Be mindful not to get discouraged if you feel like it's not happening when you think it should.  Verse three says that God has an appointed time for the vision, and you may have to wait, but it will surely come in due time.

It's an honor when God trusts us enough with a vision He has for our lives.  Take them seriously and don't let anyone discourage you from that vision.  It's also important that we have vision for our lives.

Proverbs 29:18

18Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Not everyone understands what God allows you to see and not everyone is on the same level of faith that you are to understand how you are going to carry out your vision.  Continue to write down your visions and take them to God in prayer and fasting. If He said....You Write It.

Here are 10 reason God gives us visions:

WHY A VISION?
1. Clarifies Direction
2. Invites Unity
3. Facilitates Function
4. Enhances Leadership
5. Prompts Passion
6. Fosters Risk Taking
7. Offers Sustenance
8. Creates Energy
9. Provides Purpose
10. Motivates Giving

SAY!!

http://wvfc.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/faith-hope-love.jpg
Say, sounds like an incomplete topic right?  Well last weekend I attended Day Star Tabernacle International, in Douglasville GA, with my church family (Sonship Harvest Ministries) and the preacher said that God told him that the topic of his sermon would be “Say”.  Of course, the congregation didn’t understand at first, but he explained that when we think about problems or issues nothing happens until we “say” something.

The scripture came from Matthew 17:20
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly, I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

The power of life and death is in the tongue, which is what comes out of our mouths when we say something. Be careful with that tongue!

Now some of you have probably heard this same sermon many times, but he explained it in a way that increased my faith by a ton.  I understood faith, and speaking thing as though they are, but he really gave it to us to SAY and have FAITH.  We are the bride of Christ, therefore He loves us and is willing to give us all the riches we could ask for, but we have to say something to Him. We have to have that intimate relationship with God. In relationships and marriages, if you do not talk to one another how do you all stay connected?

The pastor then explained not only do you have to say something but whatever you say, you must believe it will come to pass.  Many of us say we want something but a times doubt what we say which causes what we spoke to cancel out.  The pastor gave a testimony about how he needed a van for a family member to drive while they were in town.  He said during church one day, “I need a van for my family”.  As soon as he returned home, there was van and the keys in his driveway.  Now look at God work J
After the pastor wrapped up his sermon, Apostle Horton (Day Star Tabernacle Int’) encouraged everyone to say something, they wanted God to do for them and also believe and have faith that it’s coming!

I’ll keep everyone updated on my “SAY-FAITH” and show how God is moving.

Make Destiny Decisions

One decision can change the trajectory of your life!

From the moment your eyes open in the morning until the time they close at night, you are continuously making decisions. Whether choosing a lunch menu or closing a corporate deal, decisions are your life's building blocks, and these choices have determined the life you are currently living today.

Regardless of your circumstances, your responses to those circumstances are always up to you. Whether you succeed or fail is simply a reflection of how you choose to respond to the influences around you day in and day out.

God wants to become your personal trainer—showing you the way to make good decisions, and build a healthy life, but you must make the choice to listen to His voice, study His methods, and allow Him to transform your decision-making process.

Much like a man with a gun to his head, poor decision-making kills your destiny and prosperity at point blank range. Instead of playing Russian roulette with your future, define your target, aim carefully, and shoot with precision.

Give your destiny a surviving chance by committing to making the best decision in every situation. Your life is worth the fight.

Proverbs 1:32-33 NIV: For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm."

God Requires ALL

Inspiration 6/3/11

"God Requires All" was a message a few Sunday's ago at church.   This message came from 1 Samuel 15.  In 1 Samuel, God sent Samuel to tell Saul that He was to destroy Amalek and all that they have (men, women, children, oxen, sheep, camel and ass). Saul only destroyed what he wanted to destroy and left the best.  Those were not the instructions that God gave Samuel to give to Saul.

That's how we are today, God wants all of us but we only choose to give Him a part of us, only because we want to hold on to some of the things we shouldn't.  If He says let it go, LET IT GO!!

The song by Forever Jones - He Wants It All fits this topic.

When You Pick UP Your Cross, Some Things Fall DOWN.

http://www.cityeastchurch.com.au/

When you pick up your own Cross and follow Jesus with your whole heart, things that are not like Him have to fall down.  When you follow Him, the mess that follows you has to fall off because "He that is in me is greater than He that is in the world". 1 John 4:4

Also, when you pick up your Cross you have to deny yourself. It is not longer about what "I" want or how "I" feel. It's all about what God wants for us. Don't allow your flesh to overtake your spirit because the spirit and flesh are always at war.

This paragraph from
http://www.sermoncentral.com/ "Take up your Cross"  explains taking up your cross.
"When Jesus spoke of the cross He spoke of death: dying to ourselves that we might follow Christ wherever He leads us. He is a picture of literally giving everything up for Him even our lives. Remember Jesus in the Garden saying, “not my will but thine will be done.?"

"And he personally bore our sins in his own body on the cross, so that we might be dead to sin and be alive to all that is good." 1 Pet 2:24

When Is The Right Time To Pray?

istockphoto.com

Is it in just in the morning, maybe before a meal, requests, or at night? All of these are great times to pray but are these the "right" times to pray? You often hear during troubling times, this is the perfect time to pray.  True enough it is, but I believe there is no such thing as the right or perfect time to pray.  Prayer is our communication with God and this is something that should be done often throughout the day.

Today's technology allows us to communicate with people all over the world.  We have cell phones, Facebook, chat rooms, Twitter, email, web camera sites and etc.  Most of us spend lots of time on some on these sites just communicating with people.  How much time do we communicate with the one who wakes us up, feeds and puts clothes on us, and keeps us safe with His grace and mercy? I will admit, I asked myself the same thing and was ashamed to say I spent more time communicating with people on social medias and talked with God at night, before a meal and for requests; that's the only time He heard from me.  Those times for me, were the right times to pray.  Nothing is wrong with any of the social medias and how we communicate with others, but the time we spend with God should outweigh the time we spend on these sites.

I now realize everything I have and everything i'm going to have comes from Him and the only way to achieve these things, is to talk to him. While dating or marriage, if you don't communicate with  one another, how does it work and how will you two grow?  This is exactly how God operates, we can't get to know Him if we don't talk to him and we most certainly won't grow spiritually without prayer.

Prayer is a necessary tool in seeking God's Heart.  He is omnipresent (with us at all times).  There is not a right time to talk to him.  He wants us to talk to him daily.

"If you have a need, then it is the time to pray and seek God's face. You may have a special place where you commune with God; some call it a prayer closet. There is no right or wrong time in which to pray. Just make sure you have a pure heart with pure motives so you can seek God." praylivelove.com
"Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time for us as well, that God may open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned; in order that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak.” Colossians 4:2-3

Seeking God's Own Heart

Seeking God's Heart
05/10/2011

issacharministry.org.au

Seeking God's heart is something that we all should have to desire of doing.  Hebrews 11:6 says, "For whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him."
This scripture tells us that we must believe in and seek God in order to receive His blessings.

Seeking God means spending time with Him and understanding who He is.  Spending time and seeking Him requires Prayer, Reading, and Fasting
  • Prayer is the communications between you and God.  Find a quiet place where God has your undivided attention. Tell Him everything and ask Him to reveal things in your life that are a hindrance.  Also, allow God to speak after you're done speaking.  My Pastor stated last night at bible study that God is a gentleman, He will allow you to talk but when you're done allow Him to speak and reveal things to you.
2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land"

  • Reading God's word allows you to strengthen your faith in God. The Bible tells us exactly who God is and what He requires of us.....DAILY.  The Bible is our manual to life. Mediate daily on his words and allow Him to speak through the scriptures.
2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"
  • Fasting and prayer go hand in hand.  Fasting allows us to deny our flesh and hear God's voice more clearly, kind of like a spiritual reviving and can also result in a breakthrough.  Many people fast to hear God’s voice and create a stronger bond with God.  I will honestly say that fasting has brought about a huge change in me and my church family.  I am able to see things clearly with spiritual eyes and my faith in God has increased tremendously.

Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Continue to seek God by Praying, Reading, and Fasting! Watch how He blesses you abundantly above all you could ask for!

Be Blessed! God Loves You!
