Today's technology allows us to communicate with people all over the world. We have cell phones, Facebook, chat rooms, Twitter, email, web camera sites and etc. Most of us spend lots of time on some on these sites just communicating with people. How much time do we communicate with the one who wakes us up, feeds and puts clothes on us, and keeps us safe with His grace and mercy? I will admit, I asked myself the same thing and was ashamed to say I spent more time communicating with people on social medias and talked with God at night, before a meal and for requests; that's the only time He heard from me. Those times for me, were the right times to pray. Nothing is wrong with any of the social medias and how we communicate with others, but the time we spend with God should outweigh the time we spend on these sites.
I now realize everything I have and everything i'm going to have comes from Him and the only way to achieve these things, is to talk to him. While dating or marriage, if you don't communicate with one another, how does it work and how will you two grow? This is exactly how God operates, we can't get to know Him if we don't talk to him and we most certainly won't grow spiritually without prayer.
Prayer is a necessary tool in seeking God's Heart. He is omnipresent (with us at all times). There is not a right time to talk to him. He wants us to talk to him daily.
"If you have a need, then it is the time to pray and seek God's face. You may have a special place where you commune with God; some call it a prayer closet. There is no right or wrong time in which to pray. Just make sure you have a pure heart with pure motives so you can seek God." praylivelove.com“"Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time for us as well, that God may open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned; in order that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak.” Colossians 4:2-3
God Bless!!
